From now on make your word sacred. When you say you are going to do something to improve yourself, DO IT! It is your life, and you have to be happy with yourself, so don’t let anyone talk you out of making a better choice. When you deny yourself , and are dishonest with your own feelings, you make it easy for other people to change your mind. mosimage} {xtypo_quote}If you want to make a change in your life, use emotion to help you make that change. Emotion is a catalyst! {/xtypo_quote} I finally butted out for good when I added emotion to the mixture. For me, having my new wife tell me that she felt like she was kissing an ashtray was a big blow to the ego and sex life. I quit smoking within weeks of her quitting. That [[catalyst]] was love and love is the strongest emotion you can use. When you try and make a change, it doesn’t come easy, it usually takes people many attempts to quit smoking. The EGO(energy grounding organism) hates change. The more changes you make in your life for the better , the less control the ego has over you. When you try and make the same change over and over again , the subconscious (who is used to you not keeping your word) pays more attention to ego and doubt creeps in. Before two hours is up you are already psychologically reaching for that vice. It is an exercise in failure, unless you add emotion and especially love. A change made gradually works. {xtypo_quote}All it takes is fifteen minutes a day for seventeen days in order to make it a habit.{/xtypo_quote} If you want to bring more love into your marriage, tell your spouse everyday that you love them and give them a hug and a kiss. The only requirement for a change to happen is that you love, or would love to be able to make that change. It is important that any changes you make are made over a period of time. If a beginning male runner went out and ran 5 k on the first day, his legs would be aching for days afterwards, and he probably wouldn’t want to run for the next week. If he ran 1 k and walked 4 k on the first day and every second day after that, then he would slowly be able to increase the length of the run and he will almost certainly become a runner.
